How do I prepare for a Clinical Nutritionist appointment online?
After arranging your initial consultation, you will be emailed a detailed health questionnaire and food diary to complete and return ahead of your appointment. We will also invite you to send a copy of any health test results you’ve received in the last 3 months.
Once we have received this, nothing further is required from you and we will finish preparations for your appointment:
The administration team – will ensure your questionnaire is stored securely in your client record and that you and your Clinical Nutritionist have all the information required for the session.
Your Clinical Nutritionist – will spend approximately 2 hours taking a close look at your health history, researching your case and putting together the foundation of your online consultation.
What questions do Clinical Nutritionists ask online?
If you have attended a Nutritional Therapist or dietician appointment previously, you may already have an idea of what to expect.
At Mi Healthcare Group we take an integrative approach to your health and all of our nutritionists work under the Functional Medicine principles. This means we go upstream to uncover the reasons behind your symptoms rather than just treating or suppressing them
Your Clinical Nutritionist will talk with you about your health concerns and assess your current dietary and lifestyle habits. They will ask you detailed questions about your health history, family history and all of the different systems of the body and explain how these are connected.
This is what we call the ‘information-gathering’ stage, where your practitioner will gather as much information as possible about your case to ensure your program is tailored exactly to your needs.
Following your consultation you will receive your personalised protocol within 3 working days which will include:

Lifestyle Change Programs are generally administered in 21 Day Blocks, during which time you can expect to experience notable changes that indicate your body is undergoing a positive shift from the inside.
How often should you see a Clinical Nutritionist online?
Each person is individual and the amount of appointments required depends on many different factors.
As a general rule of thumb we recommend that most people will need at least two follow up appointments after their initial consultation. The first follow up is normally 45 minutes and any appointments thereafter will be 30 minutes. These are spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart for the best results.
In cases of complex health conditions, it is important to understand that we will need regular contact with you over a longer period of time.
